5 Tips To Lift Your Digital Brand Culture
Have you ever looked for one of your favorite brands online and been dissapointed? Felt their brand culture dissapear the moment you found their website? Wondered if it was even the same brand you thought you knew?
In todays article I will give you five tips that will not only make sure your brand is best represented online, they will help you stand out from your competitors and drive more business to you.
Why Your Brand Culture Depends On Digital Tools
As a brand it is vitally important to use all the digital tools, they are at your fingertips. My first tip is to identify the main items needed, which are links to your look-books, printed look-books, videos and newsletters.
All of these can be accessed by you direct or you can hire experts in the field for support.
The second tip is when selling to retailers, take note that they will pay more attention to lines that have strong links and look books. Along with excellent imagery, that is easy to write off of and consistent, cohesive looks.
When Images Create Your Brand Culture
The key is to make it easy as possible for customer to write off of images. Images that contain all pertinent information. You want information about each item, the style number, delivery date, colors/prints, description and the wholesale price.
Always use the retail price if you are selling to the end consumer.
The thumbnail photo, logo and blurb are the first items a store or end consumer will see so make this something that is strong and defines your brand as a whole. Check out my other 3 Word Blurb article to learn more about the power of the blurb
How Videos Bring Your Brand Culture To Life
My third tip is to never underestimate the power of videos. They are a essential to showcase not just your products, but also your brand culture and energy. They are the easiest way to create a human connection and get your vibe across.
They can be done more editorial, showing the lifestyle and culture or a straight up moving look book. You can show the actual product on a model or the model holding the product.
Videos inevitably deliver a more well-rounded online customer experience. They allow you to show several different views of an item or demonstrate a service.
Video evokes more feeling and tells a story easier. So use video over photo whenever you can.
Buyers buy into a feeling. The more feeling the better.
Where Your Brand Culture Depends On Information
My fourth tip is simple but often over looked. Brands selling products are simply delivering information to prospects and customers. These customers are usually quite savvy and need a strong reason to buy.
So all the information about your brand must be deliver value just like your product or service.
One of the best vehicles for delivering valuable information is newsletters. Understand that the subject matter needs to be catchy and relevant every time.
The letter itself should be brief and to the point. It should contain large images of the product selling and brief information on what makes it special. And keep in mind that social imagery should be cohesive with all other online branding.
Why Email Is Vital To Your Brand Culture
All these digital assets are needed to stand out from competition and show your strength in the market. Once you have these assets you can share them amongst all platforms and cross channels. My last tip is simple but maybe the most important.
Do not forget to get emails from all your platforms. Use your website, ads, social media, even e-commerce shopping platform, it doesn’t matter, just make sure to collect emails!
You must have email opt-in options and offers everywhere.
Emails are still your lifeblood and your greatest asset. You must be growing your customer list. Prospects and visitors will be coming to your site to check you out, or just surfing the web, social media and YouTube. Be ready!
Email is still up to 40 times more effective than social media. Email campaigns are a wonderful way to get your content out, whether product launches, links to your latest videos, your name it.
The more content the better, but it all must be quality. Your digital brand culture is dependent on cohesion. Have everything aligned so you can easily provide high value content your customer will see and love. And then they naturally buy your line.
